Data Deletion

Almost everything lives only on your phone, so deleting it is one tap away. The one exception — a purchase record kept so you can restore what you paid for — you can ask us to delete by email.

What's on your phone

All journal entries and photos live only on your device — we never have a copy. Delete them anytime from within the app via Settings → Delete everything, or simply uninstall WrittenByDad. Either way, that's the whole story: WrittenByDad (DadSteps Limited) holds no copy of your entries or photos, so there's nothing further for us to delete on our end.

Purchase records

Purchases (the app unlock, and per-volume book generation) are processed by Google Play. To let you restore a purchase later — on a new phone, or after a reinstall — a purchase history record is held on our behalf by RevenueCat, our receipt-validation provider. This record contains only purchase information: no journal entries, no photos.

To request deletion of this record, email [email protected] from any address, naming the app. We action deletion requests within 30 days. Note that once a purchase record is deleted, that purchase can no longer be restored.

Nothing else exists

There's no account to delete, no analytics profile, and no other data held anywhere — WrittenByDad doesn't collect any. See the full Privacy Policy for details.
